Maxine and Percy update

You probably haven't heard off Maxine Amelius or even Percy Ernest Roger recently, but they've been up to quite a bit so I don't know why I haven't updated sooner.
So, Maxine Amelius has been asleep for about 48 hours and hasn't woken up for food. However, despite our concern we want her to lose a bit of weight seeing as she nearly landed herself a place in the Daily Mail for her obesity.
Also, upon finding Photo Booth on my iPad, I amused myself with taking X-ray effect pictures of Percy (he's a white cat but the effect turned him black)....

Using the Snapseed app to create a vintage version of Percy pusscat....

....and amusing myself with the twirl, stretch and squeeze effects on Photobooth that I practised on Max. Cute times.
*ahem* so anyway....what have you guys been up to? Do tell me in 'comments below. Bye for now!

What I'm doing for Red Nose Day

Guess what?? :D I've decided to do something funny for money and do a little dare-devil themed fundraising idea involving, yes, dares. The following is a list of dares I'm going to hopefully accomplish if I get 3 or more sponsors for each:
10p: -Wear weird hairstyle for a meeting
        - Pull weird face throughout meeting
        - Have a hug-a-stranger day
20p: - Wear blazer on head all day
        - Wear clothes backwards for half the day
        - Wear shoes on hands throughout a meeting
30p: - Spend the whole of lunch break sat on a bench with coat on backwards and hood over face
        - Randomly lie down on the floor in the office like a snake for about 5 minutes
        - Say I love you to three random people
40p: - Talk with tongue out all day (possible? maybe? :S)
        - Wear clothes backwards all day
        - Give love heart signals to miserable looking people who just need a bit o love
50p: - Wear a Harry Potter scar and glasses all day
        - Wear panda nose hat over face half the day
        - Call colleagues mum/dad throughout the day
60p: - Answer with no to everybody's question
        - Tie someone to myself so we're back to back all day
        - Give my boss a hug and refuse to let go
70p: - Write YOLO across forehead for the day
        - Wear hair in mohawk style
        - Paint entire face red
80p: - Shout "I'M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON EATING EVERYONE PLEASE BE QUIET" with a megaphone in a city such as London
       - Draw on a monobrow to wear for the day
       - Wear lipstick scribbly around area surrounding lips
90p: - Wear a moustache and beard all day, and if someone asks about it I'll insist they're imagining
       - Wear short black wig all day (NOTE: I have long blonde hair so it would make a big difference!)
       - Get a pink dip dye for the day (temporary pink spray)
£1: - Come into work wearing a onesie
      - Patrol streets wearing rollerskates

Fancy sponsoring me? Drop your details by to creativecatmail@gmail.com and I'll send you an application form :) xx
All the best!

Getting involved with guerilla art #2

Making your mark with quotes

I decided to take a leaf out of my Guerilla Art Kit and try using quotes for making inspirational street art around my neighbourhood. I've used the following quotes and turned them into kind of a piece of art.
This one says "start your own revolution, infiltrate the masses" which is from a random quote off google that I liked. I might stick it on a mailbox or a wall again so people can have a good look at it.
This quote is from Ghandi and says "you must be the change you wish to see in the world". It's quite thought provoking and Banksy has done similar pieces involving the theme of world change. Some ideas for you to try could include chalking quotes on pavements; brick and concrete walls and anywhere else where you can chalk on. You could even try doing moss painting quotes (see post 3 which I'll be putting up soon) using stencils.
What have you been up to this week? Got any street art ideas you'd like to share with us? Leave a comment and have fun!

I Could Pee On This... Book Review

I Could Pee on this.. and other poems by cats by Francesco Marciuliano is a fun way of looking at a domestic cat's point of view. After reading, you'll probably be holding your cat's paws and saying, "I finally understand you." It contains some hilarious poems including "I lick your nose" which is my personal favourite. It goes as follows:
I lick your nose, I lick your nose again
I drag my claws down your eyelids
Oh you're up? Feed me

Anyone would love reading this and I'm certain you'll have a good laugh at it. It's £8.99 from Waterstones (in the UK) or you can get it from Amazon. It's $12.95 in the US and I can assure you it's worth every penny! All in all, it's a great book for all the family and is worth reading with a hot chocolate under a blanket with your cat.
So if you've read it, what did you think? Leave comments below!
